Pilote Pilates was created to give Sunset Park a local Pilates studio with a premium client experience and a deep sense of community.
What Pilote Pilates achieved in 6 months

The vision
Founded in the end of 2025, Pilote Pilates began as a studio that could bring Pilates to the Sunset Park community in Brooklyn. Starting with zero revenue and an empty space, in its first six months, Pilote Pilates turned early launch demand into measurable growth. Monthly sales increased by 239%, class occupancy grew by 145%, credit pack purchases rose by 248%, and recurring memberships increased by 69%.
For a studio that opened in November 2025, these numbers show more than early revenue. They show a new business building real booking momentum, improving utilization, and converting first-time clients into returning customers.

Pilote Pilates is a kind of studio that you want to enter once, and never leave.
Having lived in Sunset Park for many years, Margarita noticed that Sunset Park does not have many boutique neighborhood studios compared to Manhattan or a few other parts of Brooklyn.
“We hope to make our neighborhood more active, welcoming and full of life.”

The challenge: Building a findable studio
An interesting fact about many New York City studios is that members don’t mind commuting for a class, whether the studio is in Manhattan or Brooklyn. But Margarita wanted to build something different: a studio that could say, “We’re here, for this community. You don’t need to take a 30-minute trip just to find a great class.” To make that possible, Margarita had to make a lot of decisions before the first class even happened, from schedules and pricing to memberships and the client experience. She needed booking software that would make the studio feel ready upon opening: easy for members to use, simple for her to manage, and strong enough to support the business as it started growing.
“When opening the studio, it was important for me to find a system that would make everything simple for both our clients and our team.”
- Margarita, owner, Pilote Pilates
Margarita also knew that future members needed to be able to find her new studio. Three months before opening, she started thinking about how the studio would show up on Google, Maps and other search-driven platforms, so that people nearby could discover the studio before they were even ready to book their first class.

Every detail of the studio was built to help members feel like they had found a studio close to home.
Finding a growth business partner
Margarita chose Kenko after seeing it used by some of New York City’s leading studios. The simplicity of the onboarding process helped her launch quickly and made sure studio operations wouldn’t become a bottleneck.
“It [Kenko] makes booking classes, managing schedules, and organizing the studio incredibly easy.”

Getting in front of the community even before opening
Many studios announce their opening on social media or run presales, but that doesn’t guarantee they’ll be found by the person actively searching for a Pilates studio nearby. For Margarita, it was important that people in Sunset Park could discover Pilote Pilates before the studio even opened its doors.
With Kenko’s built-in AI SEO, Pilote Pilates was able to show up on Google as a new studio in Brooklyn, helping Margarita get in front of local clients early and compete for visibility alongside older studios and franchises in the area.

A website built to bring new clients
For Margarita, the website not only needed to look visually appealing but also had to make it easy for someone discovering Pilote Pilates for the first time to become a client. Kenko designed a website that reflected the studio's premium brand while creating a seamless path from learning about the space to booking a first class. Whether someone was exploring memberships, purchasing an intro offer, or scheduling their first visit, the experience was designed to be simple, intuitive, and mobile-friendly. That smooth booking journey was especially important during the studio's early months, when every new visitor was a potential long-term member.
Beyond the website itself, Kenko automated the follow-up process so no prospective client slipped through the cracks. Whether someone submitted an inquiry, shared their phone number, or downloaded the branded app, every lead received timely and personalized communication, helping Pilote Pilates turn interest into bookings while Margarita could stay focused on building her community.

A website built to turn interest into action, giving new clients a clear path to learn, book, and buy.
A branded app build for community
To stay connected with members beyond their first visit, Pilote Pilates launched its own branded app. Instead of relying solely only on social media or email, members had a convenient way to book classes, manage their schedule, receive updates, and stay connected to the studio wherever they were.

Pilote can stay close to clients beyond the studio with an app, making every next visit easier to book.
For a newly opened studio, the branded app helped Pilote Pilates deliver the same polished experience as more established studios while strengthening relationships with its growing community. Every interaction reinforced the studio's brand, making it easier for members to stay engaged, book more consistently, and feel connected between visits.
The results
Early growth with a returning community
In its first six months, Pilote Pilates built strong early momentum across sales, bookings, and local visibility. From November to April, the studio saw a 239% increase in monthly sales, with a consistent 32% MoM revenue growth.
Pilote Pilates also started building a stronger base of returning clients, which is a large problem of many New York City studios. Recurring memberships grew 69%, increasing from 13 in November to 22 in April. For a new studio still introducing itself to Park Slope, that growth showed early signs of clients coming back, not just booking once. This also proved Margarita’s idea that Sunset Park was in need of a local community studio.
#1 in “Pilates near me” and other relevant searches
Pilote Pilates reached the #1 spot for “pilates near me” and other relevant local searches, including “pilates studio near me,” “pilates class,” and “pilates Sunset Park.” In its first six months, the studio was found on Google 10,456 times and drove 1,041 clicks to its website without any Google ads, giving Margarita a stronger way to reach local clients beyond social media alone.

“As a local studio focused on our community, we want to focus on people and movement, and Kenko helps us to do exactly that by making the rest of the process smooth and effortless.”
- Margarita, owner, Pilote Pilates
